Who We Are

Clean Up Real Estate (CURE) is a private, non-governmental, consumer watchdog group, advocating for consumers in home loan transactions. The problems facing the mortgage industry today are immense and complex. There is no one right answer that will solve all of the problems. CURE, by focusing on individual loans, eliminates the problems with that specific loan, and offers a successful strategy to CURE the whole mortgage industry – one loan at a time.

The Clean Up Real Estate Home Loan CURE:

• CURE sets voluntary broker conduct standards that a broker can agree to abide by for the specific loan at issue.
• CURE standards include commission controls, which limit the total payment a broker can receive in any form for executing a single loan transaction.
• CURE monitors individual home loan transactions; reviewing documents and ensuring that the good faith estimate is honored.
• CURE additionally offers FREE rate assurance and cost assurance at the borrower’s request.

Through these services which are free to the consumer, CURE empowers borrowers to leverage their broker against the complexity and confusion in the marketplace. A broker who is watched can be trusted to watch out for the borrower they serve. Brokers, who are unwatched, can get too cozy with banks. They then often end up acting against the best interest of the borrower just to line their own pockets.
